I didn't express that properly- the two white arms are 'locked'- they won't move at all.
Being broken and costing me $95 is bad enough, but being without music the rest of the week is what upsets me. It goes in the mail off to Alpine tomorrow morning if I can't fix it. I'm out of warranty anyway so I figure no additional risk, they want $95 to repair it. I've ripped the headunit out of my car and have taken the top cover off, but I'm not seeing anything obviously broken. IF you need ALPINE car amplifiers, DVD players, radio, etc. It appears that the two white locking arms inside won't disengage. Well, mine still won't eject when trying that. Alpine's user manual and tech support say to hold down on the eject button for 5 seconds if it won't eject. Well, it still works fine EXCEPT it won't eject the CD currently stuck inside. My CDA-9815 decided to stop working today.
